Mouse and Keyboard adapter for Consoles
« on: September 11, 2014, 05:35:41 PM »
I think this one will finally get it right. It will probably cost a bit more ($125) than the garbage adapters that are out there , but looks like it will finally allow mouse and keyboard to act properly.

I'll be getting this soon and will post a review if you guys are interested.

Very interested in how this works, will you be using it on the ps4 or xbone?

i like...it's nice to see someone making an effort to bridge the gap when it comes to console fps gaming.  i'd probably never own unless there was some exclusive console shooter that was the greatest thing since sliced bread.  besides most big budget shooters make it to pc - the one's worth owning anyway.  still...i like seeing something like this.

I have a feeling that "keyboard and mouse" will be craptastic at best. Looks like the other knock-off's that were made for Xbox and PS quite a few years ago.

Well i just got the XIM4 in today. It works. only game i have for ps3 is uncharted 1,2,3  (no ps4 yet, waiting on uncharted 4).  I really only got it for story mode in games, for games not going to pc.

Con: it does work just like in the videos BUT... there is about 8ms lag from your movement to the result on the screen. Its due to the built in input lag of the connected controller and its polling rate (250hz). AND there is mouse acceleration.

Also in order to load configs from phone it HAS to be a android phone. Will NOT work on iOS phone.

nice.

Can you increase the polling rate? or is it a hardware limitation?
Is it the same input lag you get with a standard controller?

yea same imput lag as controller and same polling rate neither can be altered. you can increase mouse sensitivity that works fine.

awesome. What dpi are you running? I could see there being more input lag as the dpi increases. Is it USB 2 or 3?

ive been using a logitech g400 (successor to the mx518) but not sure about the dpi. im getting the FinalMouse monday, no software no drivers no mouse acceleration with 4 dpi settings on the mouse, also has the best mouse sensor available (pixart 3310) will try it when it comes in and see if i notice any difference.
